Roguelike CLI: a task manager that reads like a dungeon crawl
A terminal task manager that keeps your backlog in plain folders and JSON, adds an AI game master on top, and never sends any of it to a server.

Roguelike CLI came out of a habit rather than a plan. Engineers who live in a terminal do not want another web app for tasks, and the trackers that do exist assume a team, a board and a ritual.
Folders as the data model
A quest is a folder. A step is a file. That is the whole storage layer, and it is on purpose: anything you can do with a file manager, git or a shell script, you can do with your backlog.

Because state lives on disk, the tool has no account, no sync and no server to be down. Back it up the way you back up code, because it is code-shaped.

The game master is optional
Point it at any model you already use and it will narrate the run in the style you pick, break a vague task into steps, and hand out experience when something is finished. Turn it off and the tool is still a task manager.
How it ships
One global install from npm, MIT licensed, the same command surface on macOS, Windows and Linux. No cloud dependency means no pricing page and no migration to plan for.
